WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT

I have a terrible memory.

Most of my important memories exist as intense but short bursts - of sounds, looks, and smells - but the details more often than not escape me.  Funnily enough, many of them have music associated with them.

This is not a blog about my favorite music, or the songs that shaped me, it is an exercise in exploring my memories in order to make sense of how I got to where I am, one memory (and the song associated with it) at a time.
